Friedrich Engels was a revolutionary philosopher who changed the world. He was born in Barmen, Germany in 1820 but lived most of his life in England - first in Manchester and then at 122 Regent’s Park Road in Primrose Hill, London. Co-author of The Communist Manifesto with Karl Marx, his radical ideas continue to challenge and inspire to this day. Throughout his life, Engels produced influential work across a range of fields, including philosophy, history, anthropology, political economy, social research, natural sciences and military theory. He died in London in 1895.
